The best of September 2012

In case you missed them, here are the top five stories that I posted in September:

As the amount of content on this blog grows, I’ve been getting a lot more search-engine traffic. I can see most of the search terms that pull people in, and here were some of my favorites this month (it’s only a small fraction of the search terms used in September) together with my best guess at which posts caused the search terms to hit:

In The best of August 2012, I spoke of my quest for world domination. As of the end of August, I’d had visitors from 27 countries. Now I’m up to 54. (The US Department of State recognizes 195 countries.) Here’s how my Risk board game map looked in August:

Here’s how it looks now. Notice the changes in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. I’ve gotten hold of South Africa, too—a key location on the Risk board.
